Gareth"MORTY"Mortimer

"Morty" was writer and singer for the band "Racing Cars", who had the 1977 hit "They Shoot Horse Don't They?"

They were an incredible band, with incredible material, but in my humble opinion, never reached where they should have, due to the advent of "PUNK!"

My first encounter with him was controversial, but once we got to know each other, I have to say, I loved him very much.

He affectionately called me "Twizzle!"

An incredible song writer, the most powerful vocalist I've ever encountered, and just oozed charisma on stage. But, oh such a humble man!

During preparation for their last album, they spent a lot of time in my studio, and the lines he contributed to the song "Superheroes" , just put the hairs up on the back of my neck!

I miss you very much Mate!

You were an incredible talent and an amazing character!
